I am no one. Just some kid who still thinks simple pleasantries in this world actually mean something. Trying to remember to stay positive, no matter what. That's all I am; a simple reminder of a good guy. I am no ones, and no one is mine.

family and snarky behaviour

I woke up today expecting a very relaxed, somewhat lazy day. Instead I get bombarded with what is essentially the “rumour mill” from my mom. In this case have it’s more like the end of what is the rumour mill.  The truth I guess about most of what has been happening on my dad’s side of the family. It’s not as bad as it seems. Here is the story:

My aunt has gotten herself into quite a few pickles over the last year, they will go unmentioned. After fixing most of her problems, she decided to go into business for herself. Now, my family knows I am a designer. I was approached by her to design a business card. Every time we’d speak, which was over the phone or in person at a whim, I’d tell her to email me the details and then remind her again over a text message. For weeks I got nothing even after sending her texts to remind her. She told people I was ignoring her.

My grandmother manages a banquet hall. I use to wait there as well as bar-tend there. After working 40 hours one week at my job she asked me if I wanted to come to make some extra money at her’s the following. I told her if my schedule allows, I would. She took this as a yes, until a few days before I was suppose to work, I told her I couldn’t due to time constraints.

Both of these stories apparently wind up making both parties mad. Apparently I ignore them and am undeserving of being confronted directly or calmly. They essentially all banded together to be snarky towards me as well as not invite me to a get together this week. My mom thinks it is all my aunts doing as she does cause a lot of problems, she’s old and she likes to spread rumours.
